The AA have awarded us four red AA stars since 1995, signifying that we are one of the top 200 hotels in the UK. Our red star status signifies a particularly outstanding contribution to hotel keeping in every category from comfort to fine food to exceptional service.

Over the years Balbirnie has won many major awards, including Macallan/Taste
of Scotland Hotel of The Year, Regional Hotel of The Year, Glenmorangie Bar
of The Year and most recently, Golf International magazine's Hotel of The
Year.

consortium - a unique collection of hotels from around the world, all
destination hotels with their own distinct characters and a quality which

For the last 3 years Balbirnie has been awarded the Gold Ribbon Award, which aims to highlight hotels at the "very pinnacle of their profession". We are extremely proud indeed to receive this prestigious award as we are one of only four hotels in Scotland to gain this supreme accolade.

 

In August 2004 the RAC also identified Balbirnie's gardens as one of the top 20 most attractive hotel gardens in the UK.
