A brand new £5M addition, 4 years in design and development, THE SPA AT BALBIRNIE is going to be the best facility of its type in Scotland.

This is going to be a tremendous addition to Balbirnie and the fact that this new area will be added to the rear and west of the existing building in what is currently a small wooded area and a section of old car park, will mean that our day-to-day business in the interim period can carry on exactly as usual, and 100% as envisaged.

Balbirnie’s Managing Director Nicholas Russell says ‘The Spa at Balbirnie is going to take Balbirnie to another level entirely. Over the last few years our business and brigade have been so proud indeed to have received so many Industry awards, particularly for weddings, and those in particular seem to place Balbirnie very firmly at No 1 in the country. The concept of then adding the Spa will take what is perceived in these terms as the very best, and then we are going to make it even better, in fact miles better. There are Spas and there are Spas, but The Spa at Balbirnie is going to introduce a few aspects which are just totally unique differentiators, the rooftop thermal suite in particular is going to be just spectacular. We’ve got the best design team we could have ever have pulled together to bring this project to Fife. The services we will be able to offer to all of our clients are going to break new boundaries for Scotland, there are certainly tremendously exciting times ahead, I just cannot wait to see the new Spa open’.

The Spa at Balbirnie will be dedicated to providing our guests with the most amazing spa experience combining state-of-the-art design, facility and therapies with our own ethos of care and utmost attention to detail. 

The Spa will provide a range of fabulous day spa and residential spa experiences incorporating use of the facilities and a selection of therapies.

• State-of-the-art Fitness Suite (cardio vascular and resistance equipment with integrated entertainment systems)
• Poolside Steam Room.
• Swimming pool (16 metres x 8 metres) in our ‘Georgian pool house’
• Pool side Relaxation with fabulous views over newly created lawned terrace area.
• 8 beautifully appointed treatment rooms
• Grooming Boudoir - for manicures, pedicures and make-up.
• Deep Relax Room (post treatment relaxation)

Roof top Spa: With a complete thermal and hydro experience encompassing:

The spa journey will be centred around an amazing glass roofed fire place complete with fireside relaxation/ chill-out and stunning roof top views.

External decking leads to:

• Out-door Hydrotherapy Pool (with underwater massage jets)
• In addition Balbirnie will be creating an additional 10 south-facing deluxe spa bedroom Suites.

Externally:

• There will be some new landscaping and works carried out to the surrounding gardens, with the planting also of 80 grown specimen trees and we will be creating a new lawn on the south elevation, and 48 additional car parking spaces at the rear of the hotel.
