The Spa at Balbirnie Future Plans

*STOP PRESS 1 July 2008* / Economic Climate/ The Spa at Balbirnie/ Development postponed.

After much deliberation Balbirnie's Board of Directors have decided to postpone the £6M Spa development, for the moment. This is entirely due to the many arising factors which are stemming from the current UK economic climate, circumstances obviously entirely beyond our control.

The development is now postponed indefinitely, but we intend to revisit matters as and when the economic climate changes.

We take this opportunity to thank all consultees, everyone involved with the intricate and successful Grade A Listed planning submission, the development team, and in particular the tremendous support from within Fife Business banking/ Clydesdale Bank, who remain as committed as we are ourselves to the evolution of this unique project.

We will very much look forward to one day re-visiting The Spa at Balbirnie, as and when market conditions allow the opportunity to assess the project again.

In the meantime it is very much business exactly as usual at Balbirnie House.

* This development was intended to have been sited mainly on an area of existing car park, to the North-West and rear of the house. The project may perhaps be a contemplation once again at some point in the future. As such, the relevant plans have been left on our web site for the perusal of any interested parties.
