Fishing

We can assist with planning a fishing trip - perhaps just for a few hours or for a full day's outing. Both trout and salmon fishing are available in the area, trout fishing within 30 minutes drive and salmon fishing about an hour away.

Trout fishing can be arranged at Loch Fitty on the edge of Dunfermline in Fife and wild salmon fishing on the River's Tay, Earn and Teith, all situated in Perthshire and considered by many to offer the finest salmon fishing in Scotland.

You may want to fish by the bank or perhaps prefer to use a boat with a ghillie-just let us know. Picnic lunches are also available on request.

Balbirnie is ideally located to participate in a wide range of different sporting activities and we have special arrangements with many local specialists, all with super facilities. We are very happy to discuss the alternatives. Please not that we can only organise activities for residents staying at the hotel and for corporate clients hosting conferences at Balbirnie. It is worth mentioning that for those not interested in sports, there are so many other things to do in and around the area-please refer to our Sightseeing section.
